MINIATURE COLLECTORS MEET IN LONDON

We shall be in London during the week of the exhibition of later miniatures and are delighted to invite any collectors or enthusiasts to meet on Friday 23rd March 4.00 p.m.-6.00p.m. in a central location. Light refreshments will be provided.  Please bring miniatures with you if you wish! Why not take in the exhibition first and then join us for what should prove to be an interesting and fun occasion?     I would love to have joined you but sadly will be exhibiting my own portrait miniatures as you know at the BADA fair. May I wish you a really successful exhibition

      Genuine eye miniatures are actually quite rare. We have seen several examples of an eye cut out of a portrait and reframed! This can increase the value of a poor quality, unsigned and or damaged miniature. The give-a-way is the prominent shadow of the nose. We would be interested to hear from anyone who has experience of this. After all eye miniatures were only painted for a very short period and numbers would be small
